Last Saturday morning I brought my whole family to Broga Hill.
As usual I made some research before going up like is it safe for
children. The only difficulty will be going up to the 3rd stage, the peak.
This is the parking area. Actual it is a palm oil farm conversion.
Parking fee RM2
Foot hill. Not so difficult except when facing people coming down or
vice versa when we are coming down.
At this point we are about 100 meters from the foot hill. Easy climb
but yet please take care of the children.
Here almost "puncit" before climbing to the 1st stage. Take 5!
Going up!!!!!!. Parents stay behind your kid. Expect them to roll down.
Height about 50 meters. Also easy climb because it has a steps.
Middle of the climb.
At the first stage. Take 30! Here is a wide area for rest and photography.
Size of a basket ball court but please watch out of our hyperactive kids.
The way to the 2nd stage.
At the 2nd stage and here my son had his accident which he banged himself
into the big boulder.
A steep climb from the 2nd stage to the 2.5 stage is about 50 degrees angle.
Climb up is no problem, only tired. Coming down must be very careful. This where
my son with my mistake for not teach them what to do if they face trouble.
There will be a rope climb to the peak (photo will post later). Very small area to hang
around so be careful but the view is very refreshing. There is a path to bukit tok wan
if we wish to go there. For me that will be another climb.
Finally.......
The place is very clean and beautiful. If we start climbing around 7 am I am sure the air
on top will be very cool. I reach the first stage at about 8:30 and the air still cool. I even
saw somebody with normal Japanese slipper going up the hill. The shock part was I saw
a Chinese girl wearing beautiful short dress at the first stage posing for his boyfriend. I
can't imaging how she can reached the first stage with her dress.
I also shock and impress and the same time. I saw a few group coming down together
with big garbage bags. Very discipline Malaysian. When we approaching people descending
we greeted each other, very friendly. You can't have this feeling if we walking in the street.
I will post more photos in Broga later. (Pictures posted above was taken by PP camera)
